In our last IBP/IBSing practitioner’s call, I led a session titled: “𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬?” Thanks to the participants for an energizing session!
Many people associate 𝐈𝐁𝐏 mainly with aligning operations and strategy or achieving financial results. But they often overlook its 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠.
A well-functioning IBP process helps identify needs, resolve tensions, prioritize meaningful work, and strengthen communication and relationships. In today’s world of increasing uncertainty and stress, 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐁𝐏 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫.
We opened the session with a short meditation, reflecting on a stressful business moment — focusing on body sensations, emotions, and the personal needs present in that situation. Being self-aware that you are under stress, identifying which need is unmet, and 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 are key steps to move from stress back into flow.
In my work with corporate teams, I often find that under stress, the unmet needs are for 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆, or 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (see picture for different types of personal needs).
𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗺𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱?
See in the comments for more information about our upcoming IBP / IBSing calls with excellent speakers and interesting topics!
