Last month in Amsterdam, at a Cparity Event, Danielle IJkema and I offered participants a short experiential flavour of ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ:

Together with three groups of ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, we simulated a ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐-๐๐๐ป๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป involving seasonal promotional demand, late product changes during launch, capacity constraints and long material lead times โ resulting in ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ธ on one side and ๐ช๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ-๐ข๐ณ๐ณ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ธ on the other.
First, the teams followed a โ โ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต.

Functional representatives advocated for their own interests and agreed on an action plan. The dynamic was familiar: ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ.

The groups explored the ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐ โ customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders โ their needs and the ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ of the situation.
The difference was immediately visible.
In โ โ, energy went into ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ and defending points.
