How to foster resilience via IBP and S&OE?

In our recent IBSing session focused on „Resilience,“ we concluded with a powerful question: 🤔 ⁉ “𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞?”

This question, among others, led to deep discussions and insightful reflections. Some of the key questions raised during our session included:
🤔 How can we leverage the Resilience measure, to effectively manage the complexity of interdependencies?
🤔 What strategies can we use to address poor data quality?
🤔 Is there a specific type of segmentation that enhances resilience beyond the traditional supply chain segmentation?
🤔 How do we navigate conflicting KPIs in pursuit of resilience?

These are critical questions for fostering learning, generating new ideas, and driving organizational improvement. While we didn’t arrive at clear answers for each question, we did explore 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 & 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (S&OE), 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (IBP), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

As for the final question, our guest speaker Otto Kocsis responded with an interesting counter-question: “𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧?” 🤔💡
