A small twist in Enterprise Decision-Making from „reviews“ to „sensemaking“

Many say 𝐈𝐁𝐏 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐝 for today’s volatility.
👍 They are right.
And still — we need IBP more than ever.

Uncertainty increases the need for cross-functional alignment.
What no longer works is IBP as a monthly reporting ritual.

🤔 What now?

📸 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭 – the integrated plan, assumptions and key decisions.
That creates transparency, accountability and commitment.

⚡Be far more agile in 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 as they emerge.

-from calendar-driven Planning reviews.
-to agile 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞-𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. 💡

That means:
-engage the relevant functions when it matters
-apply functional lenses, not silo-focused reviews
-surface emerging signals early
-make financial impact explicit
-take decisions when needed – and anchor them in the monthly cycle

IBP is not the problem.
Lack of cross-functional 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞-𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 and slow, ineffective 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 is.

For leaders who want to strengthen this capability more systematically, we will host a Leadership Program in September 2026 in Zug (CH).
