One key message stood out clearly:

From Debbieโs input, three themes resonated strongly:

โข The need for ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ and ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐
โข The reality that ๐๐๐ฃ ๐ฒ๐

In the breakout discussions, the group added a very practical perspective:

โข Lack of clarity on what IBP is really solving
โข Missing S&OP fundamentals and planning discipline
โข Siloed thinking and limited business leadership involvement
โข Challenges in integrating volume and value, especially with Finance
๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป
โข Often still ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ or not truly embedded
โข Long-term thinking exists, but is rarely connected to decisions
โข Ownership of strategy is often unclear
โข Scenario thinking is used, but not consistently translated into action
What I found interesting is how closely practice confirms the theory:
