Bring people from different functions together and let them answer the question:
“When were you truly proud to represent this organisation through your role?”
As colleagues listen to one another’s stories, the bigger picture emerges: how every function contributes to success for customers and stakeholders.
The stories also reveal the organisation’s shared purpose and most important values.
Capture them together in a simple purpose and value statement that brings those stories back to mind.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁?
People do not merely understand collaboration intellectually. They feel connected to their colleagues and to a shared purpose.
A small investment of time can shift the focus from 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
